Welcome to the active vision lab

We are a max planck tandem group at the university of são paulo and the ernst strüngmann institute (esi) for neuroscience in cooperation with max planck society.

What we do

In the active vision lab, we are mostly interested in understanding how our brains create the experience of the visual world. more specifically, our current interest is focused on the relationship between eye movements and visual perception.

our methodological approach involves psychophysics, eyetracking, magneto- and electro-encephalography (m/eeg) and analysis of neurophysiological recordings in non-human primates.

support comes from the Fundação do Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) and the Max Planck Society.
